Your adventure begins with the journey from the Andes to the vast Amazon basin. As you move east, the landscape becomes spectacular: the mountains give way to the dense tropical forest, to the humid air and to the sinuous jungle rivers.
Most programs include a motorized canoe transfer to the bottom of the reserve, which usually takes several hours, where wildlife sightings can start even before reaching the lodge.
This remote access is part of what keeps Cuyabeno so pristine and authentic.
Cuyabeno offers one of Ecuador's most authentic Amazonian experiences.
It is ideal for nature lovers, photographers, wildlife enthusiasts and travelers looking for a deeper Amazon adventure.
The huge protected forest reserve.
The exceptional opportunities for wildlife observation.
The habitat of the pink river dolphins.
Real visits to indigenous communities.
A real immersion into the jungle, off the net.
The humidity is high throughout the year, so fast drying clothes are strongly recommended.
Go to the Ecuadorian Amazon and discover one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet: the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve. This immersive experience in the jungle is designed for travelers who want a true exploration of the jungle, authentic cultural encounters and unforgettable moments with the fauna.
With more than 600,000 hectares of protected forest, Cuyabeno is one of the largest and biologically rich reserves in Ecuador.
